Travelling in a Nomad campervan or motorhome is an ideal way to see and experience what NZ has to offer, and all at your leisure. Vehicle hires include unlimited kilometres, breakdown service and come fully equipped with everything you need for a great holiday.

Prices quoted are in NZ dollars. The insurance bond which in most cases is held in the form of a credit card imprint and is not debited unless Nomad incures costs arising from your hire, such as accidents)



Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals Rental Terms

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RENTALS

On arrival, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals. Here is a summary of their terms and conditions.

DEFINITIONS

The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions of Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals:

 * The Supplier means the operator of Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals.
 * The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s) or renter (s).

PAYMENT
An initial non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. The final balance is due 46 days prior to the pick up of your vehicle or upon confirmation if booked within 46 days of departure. Please ensure that you have funds available at this time.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We strongly recommend that our clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:

Cancellation 40 days + prior to pick-up date – $50 fee
Cancellation 39 days to 25 days prior to pick up date - 15% of rental
Cancellation 24 days to 9 days prior to pick up date - 50% of rental
Cancellation 8 days to 2 days prior to pickup - 75% of rental
Within 48 hours of pick up date or no show - 100%
EARLY RETURNS: No refunds for early returns or days not used (unless approved by management)

Nomad Rentals referred to as the company in the terms and conditions.
All prices are referred in NZ dollars
One-way fee $115 unless otherwise stated
A 2% visa and MasterCard fee apply to all credit card transactions

PICKUP LOCATIONS
Pick up and drop off Auckland and Christchurch Airports by arrangement (flight arrival details required, please contact us if your flight is delayed).

Late returns incur fees, vehicles returned a day or more late will incur a fee of 250% of the daily charges.

RETURNING VEHICLES
Vehicles must be returned in a clean and tidy condition with all toilet and grey water holding tanks emptied and flushed, fuel tanks must be full or at least to the level as noted on the rental agreement. Refueling Fees are charged at twice the fuel cost plus $40 fee. All cutlery, pots, pans etc. are to be washed and stored. Cleaning fees up to $200.00 will be charged for dirty vehicles. The hirer shall, at or before the expiry of term of hire deliver the vehicle to the owner’s place of business or the owner’s agent or obtains the owner’s consent to the continuation of hire. The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location noted in the contract, failure to do so will incur a $2000.00 fee, charged to  hirer, unless there is an agreement otherwise which is required to be in writing and agreed by both parties.

AFTER HOURS
A fee of $50 will be charged for after hours (6:00pm to 7:00am) pickup and drop-off unless other arrangements have been agreed to.

HIRE PERIOD
Minimum hire period is five days (unless other arrangements have been agreed to). Hire commences from the day of pick up to the day of drop off. Hire charges are based on a daily cost calculated from day of pick up as day one to drop off as the last day.

Minimum hire is 12 days for peak season and is subject to change.

UNLIMITED TRAVEL
All of Nomad & Dynamite rentals daily rental rates are on an unlimited kilometer basis.Additional fees charged for Diesel vehicles @ $6.00 per 100 kilometres for diesel recovery tax. N.B. diesel fuel tax is not charged at the pump in NZ, instead, it’s a separate charge that the company pays per kilometre at a rate of $6.00 per 100 kilometres.

DIESEL TAX
Diesel tax will be charged for diesel powered vehicles at $6.00 per 100 kilometres.

CAMPING PARKS
There are more than 300 fully equipped camping parks spread around New Zealand. Booking is not normally necessary except during the peak holiday periods (December to January for popular areas).

CAMPERVANS AND MOTORHOMES
6 Berth motorhomes are 2006 Mitsubishi Canter Diesel, Manual Transmission
4 Berth motorhomes are 1996 Isuzu Diesel units, Manual Transmission
2 Berth Hi-top campervans are 1993 – 2004 Ford Econovans or Toyota Hiace, petrol, manual transmission.
Sleepervans are 1993 – 2004 Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Diesel and Petrol models, Manual and Auto.

ROAD RULES
In New Zealand, we drive on the left side of the road and give way to traffic from the right. Speed limits are strictly enforced: 50 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 100 kilometers per hour on the highways. Distances are measured in kilometers.

NO SMOKING
No smoking allowed in our vehicles. $100 cleaning fee applies if a vehicle has been smoked in.

PETS
No pets allowed in our vehicles, how ever we can make exceptions in the case of special circumstances, a fee of 20% of the hire charge will usually apply.

DRIVER'S LICENCE
A standard car license with a photo and written in English is all that is required to drive in New Zealand. All drivers must present a current New Zealand, International, or acceptable overseas license written in English at commencement of hire, a photo copy of drivers licenses will be taken at the start of your hire. Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond, as well as the compulsory insurance.

PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE
Personal injury in New Zealand is covered by the Accident Compensation Commission. We strongly advise hirer/s to take out a fully comprehensive travel insurance package prior to commencement of their travels which will also cover you for the rental vehicle excess amount as well as any loss or damage to personal items

DEPOSIT
A 15% deposit is required upon confirmation to secure a booking.

ALTERATION POLICY
Alterations to confirmed bookings will incur a $50.00 charge (unless otherwise approved by management)

CREDIT CARDS
We only accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards and all transactions are conducted in New Zealand Dollars.  We do not accept any responsibility for exchange rate fluctuations or credit card companies’ charges. Payments made by Visa or Mastercard will incur an additional 2% surcharge.

LINEN AND BEDDING
Linen and bedding is not complimentary on hires 10 days or less, how ever a linen and bedding pack can be supplied at the following charges; 6 motorhomes - $90.00,  4 berth motorhomes - $80.00, 2 berth campers and sleepervans - $70.00
The packs include Towels, linen, pillows, bedding, duvets, light weight sleeping bags (can be used as an extra cover) tea towels, etc.

VEHICLE INSURANCE
Please note: Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond, as well as the compulsory insurance.

Compulsory Standard insurance:
4 Berth Motorhome - Diesel at NZ$20 a day
2 Berth with Shower &Toilet (diesel) at NZ$10 a day
2 Berth Toyota Hiace Hitop at NZ$5 a day.

This compulsory insurance insures you against recoverable 3rd party accident damage. (Excludes personal effects).

INSURANCE EXCESS (BOND).
A damage excess/bond of NZ$2,900 applies on 2 berth Campervan and Sleepervans.
A damage excess/bond of NZ$4,000 applies on 2 Berth shower and toilet Motorhomes.
A damage excess/bond of NZ$4,200 applies on 4 Berth Motorhomes.
An imprint of each driver’s credit card is taken at the start of your hire to cover the excess/bond, it will be processed if there is an accident, damage or the company (Nomad or Dynamite Rentals) incurs additional costs from your hire.
The excess/bond will be held in the form of a: Credit card imprint, Cash, Travelers cheque or Bank transfer (payments directly to Nomad’s NZ account – ASB Bank account – 12-3134-0006110-00 – Ref: Camper Bond). The excess/bond can be charged anytime up to 30 days after the completion of your hire, this is to allow us time to receive traffic tickets etc from your hire. The excess/bond is fully refundable 30 days after completion of hire provided that; The hire agreement has not been breached, the vehicle is returned in clean and tidy condition - all holding and waste tanks are empty - the campervan has not been damaged or involved in an accident - the fuel tank is full or to the level as stated on your hire agreement – the company does not incur additional costs as a result of your hire - there is no additional glass damage such as chips to the windscreens, stone chips are charged at $70 per chip. Traffic infringements, speeding tickets etc are the sole responsibility of the driver / hirer, should we receive a ticket from your hire then we are obliged by law to furnish NZ Police with details of your hire, it is then at the discretion of the police to pursue collection of the ticket. A charge of NZ$50.00 administration fee will be charged to the Bond for each traffic ticket we receive. The damage excess (Bond) applies to each accident, in the case where the bond has been fully or partially charged a new damage excess/bond will be generated against the hire, there is one damage excess/bond per accident, not per hire. The excess/bond is usually held in the form of a credit card imprint which is taken and pre-authorised at the start of your hire, funds are required to be available for the Bond amount for the duration of hire, if sufficient funds are not available then the hirer will be obliged to purchase one of Nomad's Bond by down products, (see below)The company reserves the right to debit the card for part or the total of the bond at anytime during or up to 40 days after completion of your hire.

OPTIONS TO REDUCE THE EXCESS/BOND:
Two Options are offered to reduce Bonds - SILVER and GOLD Cover. These options can be purchased anytime before the start of your hire.
Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond.

INSURANCE OPTIONS
* 4 Berth Gold Cover – All inclusive – (No worries cover). Pay $50.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $100.00 OR $65.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* The All Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometers, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, ONE Extra Driver Fee, LP Gas Refill Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides, Free tire puncture repairs, Two free tire replacements, One free windshield replacement, Three free windshield stone chip repairs.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD4,200.00 to NZD100.00
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD2500.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD100.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 4 Berth Silver Cover, Pay $25.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $2000.00 OR $38.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, One Extra Driver Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD4,200.00 to NZD2,000.00
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD1250.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD2000.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 2 Berth & Sleepervan GOLD Cover – All inclusive – (No worries cover). Pay $37.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $100.00 OR $40.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* The All Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometers, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, ONE Extra Driver Fee, LP Gas Refill Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides, Free tire puncture repairs, Two free tire replacements, One free windshield replacement, Three free windshield stone chip repairs.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD2,900.00 to NZD100.00, and NZD3,000 to NZD100.00 for 2 berth shower and toilet.
* A Bond of NZD100.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 2 Berth & Sleepervan SILVER Cover, Pay $20.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $1200.00 OR $28.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, One Extra Driver Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps and Camp-Ground Guides.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD2,900.00 to NZD1400.00, and NZD3,000 to NZD1400.00 for 2 berth shower and toliet
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD1,000.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD1,400.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS
Standard cover or Reduction Options Gold or Silver DO NOT COVER: The hirer is liable for any damage to the vehicle hired or third party property if:
1. Damage due to immersion in either Salt or Fresh water for any reason and any associated costs for recovery or towing.
2. Filling the vehicle with the incorrect or contaminated fuel. The hirer will be responsible for any associated costs of recovery or repair.
3. Costs to replace lost keys or to retrieve keys locked in the vehicle.
4. Any and all overhead damage taken from a line from the top of the drivers cab to the top of the vehicle or any underbody damage to the vehicle
5. Damage caused by theft, break-ins, conversion, vandalism, or fire damage that is directly attributable to the negligence of the hirer or any other passenger in the vehicle.
6. Personal belongings. We recommend that the hirer takes out personal insurance and does not leave valuables in the vehicle while away from it.
7. Any costs that arise due to negligence or any willful damage caused by the hirer, any named driver or any person travelling in the vehicle.
8. Any damage caused to the vehicle or any third party property if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorized or underage driver or if the terms of the rental agreement are breached or any damage is caused to the interior of the vehicle.
9. Damage is caused to the vehicle by the use of snow chains
10. Damage is caused due to a single vehicle roll over
11. Damage is caused to the vehicle when using the vehicle in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic

PLEASE NOTE Bond/Insurance; Malicious damage, negligence, water damage or careless use causing damage to the vehicle or 3rd party property is not covered by the bond /insurance and will be charged to the hirers. Vehicles are NOT to be driven off of sealed roads, if a vehicle is damaged due to being operated off a sealed road then all costs associated to the damage including; vehicle recovery, lost hire days when the vehicle is out of service, relocating fees, debt recovery fees, etc will be the responsibility of the hirers. A new bond is required for each claim (not for each hire)

WINDSCREENS
Windscreen breakage and or damage will be deducted from the bond unless you GOLD Cover has been purchased.

LIABILITY
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances or breakdowns, Nomad Motorhome & Car Rentals Ltd & Dynamite Car Rentals will only be liable and reimburse to the amount of your daily hire.

SLEEPERVAN EQUIPMENT
Includes the following equipment: Pillows, sheets, duvet or sleeping bags, single burner portable gas cooker, pots /pans, cups / plates, cutlery, Kettle, chilly bin (eski, cooler) 20 litre water bottle etc. all you need to have a great holiday.

4 & 6 BERTH MOTORHOME EQUIPMENT
Includes the following equipment: towels, linen, pillows, duvets or sleeping bags, cutlery, crockery % cooking utensils, maps and brochures, 4 berth sleeps 4 adults (2 twin beds, 1 permanent over the cab and the table in the rear folds down to a double) 6 Berth sleeps 6 adults (3 twin beds, 1 permanent over the cab, the bench seat behind the drivers seat converts to a double bed and the table in the rear folds down to a double) power: 240v AC / 12v DC, hot / cold water, electric heater, 12v / 240v refrigerator, 3 burner gas hob, microwave, toilet / shower, etc.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings canceled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
 
AVAILABILTY AND SUBSTITUTION OF VEHICLE
If for any reason beyond our control, the reserved vehicle is not available, we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or better standard vehicle at no extra cost to the hirer. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to a refund of any description. In the event that an alternative vehicle is not available, our liability is limited to a refund of all payments made for total hire days lost only.

We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals Rental Terms for travel between 01-Sep-2010 and 31-Dec-2017

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RENTALS

On arrival, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals. Here is a summary of their terms and conditions.

DEFINITIONS

The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions of Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals:

 * The Supplier means the operator of Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals.
 * The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s) or renter (s).

PAYMENT
An initial non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. The final balance is due 46 days prior to the pick up of your vehicle or upon confirmation if booked within 46 days of departure. Please ensure that you have funds available at this time.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We strongly recommend that our clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:

Cancellation 40 days + prior to pick-up date – $50 fee
Cancellation 39 days to 25 days prior to pick up date - 15% of rental
Cancellation 24 days to 9 days prior to pick up date - 50% of rental
Cancellation 8 days to 2 days prior to pickup - 75% of rental
Within 48 hours of pick up date or no show - 100%
EARLY RETURNS: No refunds for early returns or days not used (unless approved by management)

Nomad Rentals referred to as the company in the terms and conditions.
All prices are referred in NZ dollars
One-way fee $115 unless otherwise stated
A 2% visa and MasterCard fee apply to all credit card transactions

PICKUP LOCATIONS
Pick up and drop off Auckland and Christchurch Airports by arrangement (flight arrival details required, please contact us if your flight is delayed).

Late returns incur fees, vehicles returned a day or more late will incur a fee of 250% of the daily charges.

RETURNING VEHICLES
Vehicles must be returned in a clean and tidy condition with all toilet and grey water holding tanks emptied and flushed, fuel tanks must be full or at least to the level as noted on the rental agreement. Refueling Fees are charged at twice the fuel cost plus $40 fee. All cutlery, pots, pans etc. are to be washed and stored. Cleaning fees up to $200.00 will be charged for dirty vehicles. The hirer shall, at or before the expiry of term of hire deliver the vehicle to the owner’s place of business or the owner’s agent or obtains the owner’s consent to the continuation of hire. The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location noted in the contract, failure to do so will incur a $2000.00 fee, charged to  hirer, unless there is an agreement otherwise which is required to be in writing and agreed by both parties.

AFTER HOURS
A fee of $50 will be charged for after hours (6:00pm to 7:00am) pickup and drop-off unless other arrangements have been agreed to.

HIRE PERIOD
Minimum hire period is five days (unless other arrangements have been agreed to). Hire commences from the day of pick up to the day of drop off. Hire charges are based on a daily cost calculated from day of pick up as day one to drop off as the last day.

Minimum hire is 12 days for peak season and is subject to change.

UNLIMITED TRAVEL
All of Nomad & Dynamite rentals daily rental rates are on an unlimited kilometer basis.Additional fees charged for Diesel vehicles @ $6.00 per 100 kilometres for diesel recovery tax. N.B. diesel fuel tax is not charged at the pump in NZ, instead, it’s a separate charge that the company pays per kilometre at a rate of $6.00 per 100 kilometres.

DIESEL TAX
Diesel tax will be charged for diesel powered vehicles at $6.00 per 100 kilometres.

CAMPING PARKS
There are more than 300 fully equipped camping parks spread around New Zealand. Booking is not normally necessary except during the peak holiday periods (December to January for popular areas).

CAMPERVANS AND MOTORHOMES
6 Berth motorhomes are 2006 Mitsubishi Canter Diesel, Manual Transmission
4 Berth motorhomes are 1996 Isuzu Diesel units, Manual Transmission
2 Berth Hi-top campervans are 1993 – 2004 Ford Econovans or Toyota Hiace, petrol, manual transmission.
Sleepervans are 1993 – 2004 Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Diesel and Petrol models, Manual and Auto.

ROAD RULES
In New Zealand, we drive on the left side of the road and give way to traffic from the right. Speed limits are strictly enforced: 50 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 100 kilometers per hour on the highways. Distances are measured in kilometers.

NO SMOKING
No smoking allowed in our vehicles. $100 cleaning fee applies if a vehicle has been smoked in.

PETS
No pets allowed in our vehicles, how ever we can make exceptions in the case of special circumstances, a fee of 20% of the hire charge will usually apply.

DRIVER'S LICENCE
A standard car license with a photo and written in English is all that is required to drive in New Zealand. All drivers must present a current New Zealand, International, or acceptable overseas license written in English at commencement of hire, a photo copy of drivers licenses will be taken at the start of your hire. Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond, as well as the compulsory insurance.

PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE
Personal injury in New Zealand is covered by the Accident Compensation Commission. We strongly advise hirer/s to take out a fully comprehensive travel insurance package prior to commencement of their travels which will also cover you for the rental vehicle excess amount as well as any loss or damage to personal items

DEPOSIT
A 15% deposit is required upon confirmation to secure a booking.

ALTERATION POLICY
Alterations to confirmed bookings will incur a $50.00 charge (unless otherwise approved by management)

CREDIT CARDS
We only accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards and all transactions are conducted in New Zealand Dollars.  We do not accept any responsibility for exchange rate fluctuations or credit card companies’ charges. Payments made by Visa or Mastercard will incur an additional 2% surcharge.

LINEN AND BEDDING
Linen and bedding is not complimentary on hires 10 days or less, how ever a linen and bedding pack can be supplied at the following charges; 6 motorhomes - $90.00,  4 berth motorhomes - $80.00, 2 berth campers and sleepervans - $70.00
The packs include Towels, linen, pillows, bedding, duvets, light weight sleeping bags (can be used as an extra cover) tea towels, etc.

VEHICLE INSURANCE
Please note: Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond, as well as the compulsory insurance.

Compulsory Standard insurance:
4 Berth Motorhome - Diesel at NZ$20 a day
2 Berth with Shower &Toilet (diesel) at NZ$10 a day
2 Berth Toyota Hiace Hitop at NZ$5 a day.

This compulsory insurance insures you against recoverable 3rd party accident damage. (Excludes personal effects).

INSURANCE EXCESS (BOND).
A damage excess/bond of NZ$2,900 applies on 2 berth Campervan and Sleepervans.
A damage excess/bond of NZ$4,000 applies on 2 Berth shower and toilet Motorhomes.
A damage excess/bond of NZ$4,200 applies on 4 Berth Motorhomes.
An imprint of each driver’s credit card is taken at the start of your hire to cover the excess/bond, it will be processed if there is an accident, damage or the company (Nomad or Dynamite Rentals) incurs additional costs from your hire.
The excess/bond will be held in the form of a: Credit card imprint, Cash, Travelers cheque or Bank transfer (payments directly to Nomad’s NZ account – ASB Bank account – 12-3134-0006110-00 – Ref: Camper Bond). The excess/bond can be charged anytime up to 30 days after the completion of your hire, this is to allow us time to receive traffic tickets etc from your hire. The excess/bond is fully refundable 30 days after completion of hire provided that; The hire agreement has not been breached, the vehicle is returned in clean and tidy condition - all holding and waste tanks are empty - the campervan has not been damaged or involved in an accident - the fuel tank is full or to the level as stated on your hire agreement – the company does not incur additional costs as a result of your hire - there is no additional glass damage such as chips to the windscreens, stone chips are charged at $70 per chip. Traffic infringements, speeding tickets etc are the sole responsibility of the driver / hirer, should we receive a ticket from your hire then we are obliged by law to furnish NZ Police with details of your hire, it is then at the discretion of the police to pursue collection of the ticket. A charge of NZ$50.00 administration fee will be charged to the Bond for each traffic ticket we receive. The damage excess (Bond) applies to each accident, in the case where the bond has been fully or partially charged a new damage excess/bond will be generated against the hire, there is one damage excess/bond per accident, not per hire. The excess/bond is usually held in the form of a credit card imprint which is taken and pre-authorised at the start of your hire, funds are required to be available for the Bond amount for the duration of hire, if sufficient funds are not available then the hirer will be obliged to purchase one of Nomad's Bond by down products, (see below)The company reserves the right to debit the card for part or the total of the bond at anytime during or up to 40 days after completion of your hire.

OPTIONS TO REDUCE THE EXCESS/BOND:
Two Options are offered to reduce Bonds - SILVER and GOLD Cover. These options can be purchased anytime before the start of your hire.
Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond.

INSURANCE OPTIONS
* 4 Berth Gold Cover – All inclusive – (No worries cover). Pay $50.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $100.00 OR $65.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* The All Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometers, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, ONE Extra Driver Fee, LP Gas Refill Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides, Free tire puncture repairs, Two free tire replacements, One free windshield replacement, Three free windshield stone chip repairs.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD4,200.00 to NZD100.00
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD2500.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD100.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 4 Berth Silver Cover, Pay $25.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $2000.00 OR $38.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, One Extra Driver Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD4,200.00 to NZD2,000.00
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD1250.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD2000.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 2 Berth & Sleepervan GOLD Cover – All inclusive – (No worries cover). Pay $37.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $100.00 OR $40.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* The All Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometers, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, ONE Extra Driver Fee, LP Gas Refill Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides, Free tire puncture repairs, Two free tire replacements, One free windshield replacement, Three free windshield stone chip repairs.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD2,900.00 to NZD100.00, and NZD3,000 to NZD100.00 for 2 berth shower and toilet.
* A Bond of NZD100.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 2 Berth & Sleepervan SILVER Cover, Pay $20.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $1200.00 OR $28.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, One Extra Driver Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps and Camp-Ground Guides.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD2,900.00 to NZD1400.00, and NZD3,000 to NZD1400.00 for 2 berth shower and toliet
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD1,000.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD1,400.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS
Standard cover or Reduction Options Gold or Silver DO NOT COVER: The hirer is liable for any damage to the vehicle hired or third party property if:
1. Damage due to immersion in either Salt or Fresh water for any reason and any associated costs for recovery or towing.
2. Filling the vehicle with the incorrect or contaminated fuel. The hirer will be responsible for any associated costs of recovery or repair.
3. Costs to replace lost keys or to retrieve keys locked in the vehicle.
4. Any and all overhead damage taken from a line from the top of the drivers cab to the top of the vehicle or any underbody damage to the vehicle
5. Damage caused by theft, break-ins, conversion, vandalism, or fire damage that is directly attributable to the negligence of the hirer or any other passenger in the vehicle.
6. Personal belongings. We recommend that the hirer takes out personal insurance and does not leave valuables in the vehicle while away from it.
7. Any costs that arise due to negligence or any willful damage caused by the hirer, any named driver or any person travelling in the vehicle.
8. Any damage caused to the vehicle or any third party property if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorized or underage driver or if the terms of the rental agreement are breached or any damage is caused to the interior of the vehicle.
9. Damage is caused to the vehicle by the use of snow chains
10. Damage is caused due to a single vehicle roll over
11. Damage is caused to the vehicle when using the vehicle in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic

PLEASE NOTE Bond/Insurance; Malicious damage, negligence, water damage or careless use causing damage to the vehicle or 3rd party property is not covered by the bond /insurance and will be charged to the hirers. Vehicles are NOT to be driven off of sealed roads, if a vehicle is damaged due to being operated off a sealed road then all costs associated to the damage including; vehicle recovery, lost hire days when the vehicle is out of service, relocating fees, debt recovery fees, etc will be the responsibility of the hirers. A new bond is required for each claim (not for each hire)

WINDSCREENS
Windscreen breakage and or damage will be deducted from the bond unless you GOLD Cover has been purchased.

LIABILITY
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances or breakdowns, Nomad Motorhome & Car Rentals Ltd & Dynamite Car Rentals will only be liable and reimburse to the amount of your daily hire.

SLEEPERVAN EQUIPMENT
Includes the following equipment: Pillows, sheets, duvet or sleeping bags, single burner portable gas cooker, pots /pans, cups / plates, cutlery, Kettle, chilly bin (eski, cooler) 20 litre water bottle etc. all you need to have a great holiday.

4 & 6 BERTH MOTORHOME EQUIPMENT
Includes the following equipment: towels, linen, pillows, duvets or sleeping bags, cutlery, crockery % cooking utensils, maps and brochures, 4 berth sleeps 4 adults (2 twin beds, 1 permanent over the cab and the table in the rear folds down to a double) 6 Berth sleeps 6 adults (3 twin beds, 1 permanent over the cab, the bench seat behind the drivers seat converts to a double bed and the table in the rear folds down to a double) power: 240v AC / 12v DC, hot / cold water, electric heater, 12v / 240v refrigerator, 3 burner gas hob, microwave, toilet / shower, etc.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
 
AVAILABILTY AND SUBSTITUTION OF VEHICLE
If for any reason beyond our control, the reserved vehicle is not available, we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or better standard vehicle at no extra cost to the hirer. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to a refund of any description. In the event that an alternative vehicle is not available, our liability is limited to a refund of all payments made for total hire days lost only.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Nomad Motorhome and Car Rentals Insurance

Please note: Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond, as well as the compulsory insurance.

VEHICLE INSURANCE
Compulsory Standard insurance:
4 Berth Motorhome - Diesel at NZ$20 a day
2 Berth with Shower &Toilet (diesel) at NZ$15 a day
2 Berth Toyota Hiace Hitop at NZ$5 a day.

This compulsory insurance insures you against recoverable 3rd party accident damage. (Excludes personal effects).

INSURANCE EXCESS (BOND).
A damage excess/bond of NZ$2,700 applies on 2 berth Campervan and Sleepervans.
A damage excess/bond of NZ$3,000 applies on 2 Berth shower and toilet Motorhomes.
A damage excess/bond of NZ$4,200 applies on 4 Berth Motorhomes.
An imprint of each driver’s credit card is taken at the start of your hire to cover the excess/bond, it will be processed if there is an accident, damage or the company (Nomad or Dynamite Rentals) incurs additional costs from your hire.
The excess/bond will be held in the form of a: Credit card imprint, Cash, Travelers cheque or Bank transfer (payments directly to Nomad’s NZ account – ASB Bank account – 12-3134-0006110-00 – Ref: Camper Bond). The excess/bond can be charged anytime up to 30 days after the completion of your hire, this is to allow us time to receive traffic tickets etc from your hire. The excess/bond is fully refundable 30 days after completion of hire provided that; The hire agreement has not been breached, the vehicle is returned in clean and tidy condition - all holding and waste tanks are empty - the campervan has not been damaged or involved in an accident - the fuel tank is full or to the level as stated on your hire agreement – the company does not incur additional costs as a result of your hire - there is no additional glass damage such as chips to the windscreens, stone chips are charged at $70 per chip. Traffic infringements, speeding tickets etc are the sole responsibility of the driver / hirer, should we receive a ticket from your hire then we are obliged by law to furnish NZ Police with details of your hire, it is then at the discretion of the police to pursue collection of the ticket. A charge of NZ$50.00 administration fee will be charged to the Bond for each traffic ticket we receive. The damage excess (Bond) applies to each accident, in the case where the bond has been fully or partially charged a new damage excess/bond will be generated against the hire, there is one damage excess/bond per accident, not per hire. The excess/bond is usually held in the form of a credit card imprint which is taken and pre-authorised at the start of your hire, funds are required to be available for the Bond amount for the duration of hire, if sufficient funds are not available then the hirer will be obliged to purchase one of Nomad's Bond by down products, (see below)The company reserves the right to debit the card for part or the total of the bond at anytime during or up to 40 days after completion of your hire.

OPTIONS TO REDUCE THE EXCESS/BOND:
Two Options are offered to reduce Bonds - SILVER and GOLD Cover. These options can be purchased anytime before the start of your hire.
Hirers and drivers must be 20 years of age or older, hirers under 25 years will be charged 25% more for the insurance bond.

INSURANCE OPTIONS
* 4 Berth Gold Cover – All inclusive – (No worries cover). Pay $50.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $100.00 OR $65.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* The All Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometers, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, ONE Extra Driver Fee, LP Gas Refill Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Camp Chairs and Table, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides, Free tire puncture repairs, Two free tire replacements, One free windshield replacement, Three free windshield stone chip repairs.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD4,200.00 to NZD100.00
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD2500.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD100.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 4 Berth Silver Cover, Pay $25.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $2000.00 OR $38.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, One Extra Driver Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD4,200.00 to NZD2,000.00
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD1250.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD2000.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 2 Berth & Sleepervan GOLD Cover – All inclusive – (No worries cover). Pay $37.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $100.00 OR $40.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* The All Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometers, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, ONE Extra Driver Fee, LP Gas Refill Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps & Camp-Ground Guides, Free tire puncture repairs, Two free tire replacements, One free windshield replacement, Three free windshield stone chip repairs.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD2,700.00 to NZD100.00, and NZD3,000 to NZD100.00 for 2 berth shower and toliet
* A Bond of NZD100.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

* 2 Berth & Sleepervan SILVER Cover, Pay $20.00 per day reduces the excess/bond to $1200.00 OR $28.00 per day for hires 10 days or less
* Complimentary Airport Transfers (within 5 kilometers of the airport), Kitchen Kit, One Extra Driver Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Maps and Camp-Ground Guides.
* Reduced excess/bond from NZD2,700.00 to NZD1200.00, and NZD3,000 to NZD1200.00 for 2 berth shower and toliet
* The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is NZD1,000.00 – i.e. 50 days rental.
* A Bond of NZD1,200.00 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS
Standard cover or Reduction Options Gold or Silver DO NOT COVER: The hirer is liable for any damage to the vehicle hired or third party property if:
1. Damage due to immersion in either Salt or Fresh water for any reason and any associated costs for recovery or towing.
2. Filling the vehicle with the incorrect or contaminated fuel. The hirer will be responsible for any associated costs of recovery or repair.
3. Costs to replace lost keys or to retrieve keys locked in the vehicle.
4. Any and all overhead damage taken from a line from the top of the drivers cab to the top of the vehicle or any underbody damage to the vehicle
5. Damage caused by theft, break-ins, conversion, vandalism, or fire damage that is directly attributable to the negligence of the hirer or any other passenger in the vehicle.
6. Personal belongings. We recommend that the hirer takes out personal insurance and does not leave valuables in the vehicle while away from it.
7. Any costs that arise due to negligence or any willful damage caused by the hirer, any named driver or any person travelling in the vehicle.
8. Any damage caused to the vehicle or any third party property if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorized or underage driver or if the terms of the rental agreement are breached or any damage is caused to the interior of the vehicle.
9. Damage is caused to the vehicle by the use of snow chains
10. Damage is caused due to a single vehicle roll over
11. Damage is caused to the vehicle when using the vehicle in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic

PLEASE NOTE Bond/Insurance; Malicious damage, negligence, water damage or careless use causing damage to the vehicle or 3rd party property is not covered by the bond /insurance and will be charged to the hirers. Vehicles are NOT to be driven off of sealed roads, if a vehicle is damaged due to being operated off a sealed road then all costs associated to the damage including; vehicle recovery, lost hire days when the vehicle is out of service, relocating fees, debt recovery fees, etc will be the responsibility of the hirers. A new bond is required for each claim (not for each hire)

WINDSCREENS
Windscreen breakage and or damage will be deducted from the bond, unless you GOLD Cover has been purchased.
